From Sandefjord we will sail to Stavanger. Breathtaking landscapes of fjords at the foot of the mountains and sandy beaches stretching along the coast – this is Stavanger. Fjord Lysefjorden with rock shelf Prejkestolen or Sola Beach are only few places you can’t miss. The City attracts with its characteristics wooden houses architecture from last century. There we will meet many shops, restaurants, monuments and museums related with whaling history of the city. We also propose a visit very interesting Museum of Oli – Norway has built their economic strength on “liquid gold”. Stavanger in 2008 was chosen for European Capital of Culture which confirms the great qualities of the city.
Sailing from Stavanger to Bergen could be very special. Wonderful fjords surrounded by mountains, paintfull bridges and waterfalls – many places to admire. After sailors activities on board and charming sailing, we will reach Bergen. Paintfull architecture of the historic Bryggen district, many churches, monuments, museums and Bergenhus Castle are just a part of all attracions in city. The Place you can’t miss is Fisketorget – here we can find many fresh fishes and seafood and also taste fresh meals prepared from them. This is where we will end our Norwegian sailing adventure. We recommend this combination of active sailing and exploring the picturesque nooks of Norway. Since we won’t be racing, there might be time to stop in a port along the way, or drop an anchor for a jump into the cold fjord water or fishing!
